WDLL WINS CENTRAL REGION SAFETY AWARD
Posted Sep 12, 2017

We are pleased to announce that Western Duluth Little League has been selected by Little League International as the 2017 Central Regional ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program) safety plan winner! In large part because of our new concussion testing protocol, Western was chosen from among all Little League associations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

WDLL President Ian Lewandowski and Safety Officer Kari Bulthuis were invited to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA, where they were presented the award in an on-field ceremony on August 24. We have also earned $500 to use towards safety equipment or insurance costs.

We at Western wish to extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude to Safety Officer Kari Bulthuis for her hard work and dedication in ensuring that our players' safety is given the highest priority.

All Western players and families should be extremely proud of this great accomplishment!

Congratulations to all of the 2017 Little League ASAP safety plan winners...
